Earl J. Shoemaker was a dedicated firefighter who was a 43-year member of the Eagle Fire Company #2 where he was the secretary and had formerly served as a lieutenant. He was the Safety Officer for the Hanover Fire Department and was currently the treasurer and was a past president of the Hanover Relief Association. He made the greatest sacrifice, and we will always remember his bravery.
